Spring Break for Tuna Hunter!
In an unprecedented spring break maneuver, Tuna Hunter was bribed down to Islamorada in the Florida Keys for a few days of awesome fishing for bonefish, tarpon, dolphin and sailfish.
While it was hard to leave Gloucester Cod & Haddock Fishing, the timing was perfect to avoid some bad weather and high winds in the north.
Might as well bend a rod somewhere!
High winds made for some challenging boating, but the desire to fish prevailed. Offshore, trolling to locate pods of dolphn, then casting to hook additional turquoise wonders. Nothing beats the acrobatics of a snared dolphin ... twists ,flips, twirls and turns ... incredible!
Except, perhaps, to hook into a sailfish. That acrobatics show is also incredible. And for us New Englanders, a sailfish is a treat.

We are back! A short, productive trip to the Keys has us jazzed for full-time New England cod & haddck fishing. We hare tuna have been spotted off of Virginia, and they are headed our way. Striped Bass fishing will begin shortly as the fish arrive in Gloucester, followed closely by those bluefin tuna ... yeah!
Call 978-407-1351 or email captain@tunahunter.com for our latest openings - we look forward to seeing out on the water - our clients make our season enjoyable!
